Aboriginal Law

We litigate, conduct legal and historical research and provide opinions on a wide variety of topics, including membership issues for treaty, status and Metis citizens, governance issues for bands, settlements and non-profits organization, and provide advice and litigation services for harvesting rights.

Our office has litigated Aboriginal constitutional rights cases at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. We have ongoing associations with prominent aboriginal rights lawyers in other provinces and work together on some cases. We would be pleased to examine the evidence and issues with respect to your own community, traditional territory or yourself, and discuss various options with you which may include political lobbying, outsourcing historical research and academic legal briefs on specific topics.
